Computer science and information technology gives our children the opportunity to be taught the principles of information and computation and how to put this knowledge to use through programming, creating programs, systems and a range of other content. It is also essential that the children are equipped for life after school in a digital age and therefore through the teaching of online safety and digital literacy they will able to safely express themselves and develop their ideas through information and communication technology. The Caedmon computing curriculum has been created using the ‘Purple Mash’ scheme (adapted).
